New (song) Obsession

Since I first got into music (let's say the seventh grade), I have found certain songs that I obsess over. Generally, these songs have a catchy tune and I derive some sort of meaning from the lyrics. I am able to listen to whatever song over and over on repeat and never get sick of it. Some songs that have received this special designation through the years have included: Stepping Out Queen (Van Morrison), Train in Vain (The Clash), Jesus Walking on the Water (Violent Femmes), Such a Night (Dr. John), Strange Overtones (David Byrne & Brian Eno), Every Little Thing She Does is Magic (The Police), and Lonely Road (Mason Jennings). The song that I have been obsessing over today is This Must Be the Place (Talking Heads). I have decided to jot down the lyrics, in order to listen to the song just one more time before bed.... so here they are.

This Must Be the Place
Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb-- a burn with a weak heart
Guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
Its ok I know nothing is wrong-- wrong
Hi yo I got plenty of time
Hi yo you got light in your eyes
And you're standing here besides me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up and say goodnight--say good night
Home is where I want to be
But I guess I am already there
I come home-- she lifted up her wings
Guess this must be the place
I cant tell one from another
Did I find you, or did you find me?
There was a time before we were born
If someone asks, this is where I'll be-- where I'll be
Hi yo we drift in and out
Hi yo sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
Share the space for a minute or two
And you love me til my heart stops
Love me til I'm dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head ah ooh

Thank you David Byrne.
