Post Holiday Bliss

The Christmas Holiday this year proved to be an eventful one! We stayed in Minnesota for our first Christmas together in the cities with the Schneeman family. It was certainly a celebration, as it most often is! We began with Nick & Erin's Christmas party on December 23rd, which was an epic evening of beverages and dancing. Christmas Eve was a day of church, MJ & Dan's celebration, and catching up with all the relatives possible. We then headed to Chris & Cathy's for Christmas Day Brunch and then to Anne & James' for Christmas evening. It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend (with the exception of my violent illness Christmas night... but I won't go into detail)!!

Upon recovering from my virus, my mom and dad visited for a few days. It was the first time that they were at our house and we were able to celebrate Christmas. Mom and Dad also helped us paint a few rooms, clean up the basement, and clean up the radiators.... all help that was much needed as well as much appreciated. We were even able to sneak in a soup/salad get together with available Schneeman's and Dougherty's. New Year's Eve was low key, but exactly what was necessary for all of us. We started the day by using our china plates for brunch, heading out to Salut for dinner, and stopping at Anne & James'. We made it home just it time to watch the ball drop, east coast time, and struggled to stay up for midnight central time. It was a great holiday and awesome to have Mom and Dad over.

Since the new year, Pat and I have been busy working, enjoying our new gym, hanging out with Matt & Whitney, visiting Stillwater, skating, and skiing. Winter has been wonderful so far, and we are looking forward to more of it (hopefully, with a bit more snow)!!
