Itasca State Park

Pat and I had been thinking of visiting Itasca State Park every time we are up at the cabin; however, we don't ever seem to fit it into our busy schedule (haha). In a great attempt to avoid heading back to the cities, we decided to grab our bikes and check it out.... and it was totally worth it.

For a little background information, Itasca state park is the oldest state park in Minnesota. The preserve is 32,000 acres, includes 100 lakes, and is covered with hiking and biking trails. I suppose should mention that it is where the Mississippi River begins... and you can walk across it. It is sweet... check out the website:
